| In recent years, HRD Foundation
has built nationwide reputation for its services in the areas
of environment management through training and consultancy.
Since 1994, it has been working nationally with the Ministry
of Environment & Forest ( MoEF), Govt. of India and several
state governments on issues like environment, pollution control,
industrial safety, chemical waste management, solid and municipal
waste management, disaster management during fire or chemical
accident, environment audit, energy conservation, managing industrial
hazards etc.
It organized the 3rd National convention on "Water Management
- HR Needs with the objective of promoting conservation, optimization
and management of the scarce water resources in our country.
The convention was organized in association with Water &
Power Consultancy Services (India) Limited, a Govt. of India
undertaking and was sponsored by the Planning Commission,
Central Water Commission amongst others.
To protect the endangered Himalayan region & its national
water bodies from adverse impact of insensitive industrial
growth and other pollution related issues, it is actively
working towards building a community of dedicated citizens,
industries, professionals, environmental scientist and NGOs
who would play an active role in defining the new contours
of pollution control and environmental degradation
